Active OOSH is a locally owned and run service providing Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care across Newcastle and the Hunter. Founded by Josh in 2011, we’ve grown to nine services, each with its own place in the local community.

Josh has brought together a team of educators and leaders who genuinely care about what they do. They bring different strengths, ideas and experiences, but share the same goal: making OOSH a place children look forward to coming to.

We believe children need room to be children. That might mean running around with friends, getting stuck into a craft project, trying something new or having a quiet moment after school. Our flexible routines give children the choice, time and space to enjoy play in their own way.

Across our services, we create safe, welcoming spaces where children feel included and have a say. We work closely with families and encourage children to care for the world around them through everyday things like gardening, recycling and looking after our resources.
